The response to any emergency within our business should be directed towards:

Saving life

Care for the injured

Protection of the environment

Limitation of damage to assets

Defense of the organizational image

This Emergency Response System (ERS) has been developed to have in place a mechanism to deal with any emergency situations involving office work, transportation, handling and usage of petroleum products during movement from installations and depots to point of end use in Pakistan. This can be achieved either by activating the emergency response system or by assisting others to undertake such action.

It is the responsibility of management to ensure that effective emergency response systems and procedures are in place for the work sites under their control and for external incidents occurring within the geographical area they service.

The objectives of this ERS are to:

Provide round the clock technical advice, assistance and back up service to deal with emergencies involving staff, products or property.

Ensure that there is appropriate expertise available so that prompt and appropriate actions are taken in response to emergency situations, particularly regarding saving life.

Ensure that appropriate parties receive prompt and accurate information about the emergency situation in order to expedite decision making.

Comply with national laws and regulations as well as corporate Health, Safety, Security and Environmental and emergency response policies.
